ADAPTATION OF INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN TRAINING OF THE GSG 9 SPECIAL UNIT IN MARTIAL LAW CONDITIONS FOR THE SPECIAL PURPOSE POLICE DEPARTMENT “JOINT ASSAULT BRIGADE OF THE NATIONAL POLICE OF UKRAINE “LYUT”

Abstract

The presented article conducts a scientific study of the application of foreign experience of Germany in the context of the formation of a specialized police unit – the Department of Special Purpose Police “Joint Assault Brigade of the Na- tional Police of Ukraine “Lyut” (hereinafter – DPOP “OSHB “Lyut”). Within the framework of the study, an analysis of the historical prerequisites for the institutionalization of special purpose units at the international level was conducted. The organizational models, personnel training systems and the specifics of the operational activities of the special police unit of the Federal Republic of Germany (GSG 9) were examined in detail.Particular emphasis is placed on the analysis of the principles of training personnel of the special unit of Germany, including empirical orientation, conceptualization of the educational process, active experimentation, the use of an individualized approach and the development of fundamental physical qualities. The stages of candidate selection, the content of basic and specialized training, as well as the features of the material and technical support of the considered units were studied.The article substantiates the importance of integrating positive foreign experience into the process of improving the system of training Ukrainian special forces. At the same time, it emphasizes the inadmissibility of directly copying foreign models without taking into account national characteristics and the context of martial law, which continues on the territory of Ukraine. The need to adapt the best international practices to domestic realities is emphasized in order to optimize the effectiveness of the functioning of the Special Forces Training Center “Lyut” in the conditions of modern operational and service challenges.
