At the current stage of psychological science development, the concept of “resilience” has acquired multiple interpretations. However, it is generally defined as an individual’s ability to successfully adapt to stressful situations, crises, threatening conditions, or psychological trauma, thereby ensuring the maintenance of healthy functioning. This article analyzes scientific approaches to the conceptualization of resilience and examines its impact on the mental health of law enforcement officers. It has been established that internal personal factors play a crucial role in overcoming adverse external influences, performing a protective function in conditions of uncertainty.Resilience is considered a dynamic process, within which its structural components have been identified and characterized. Particular attention is given to the psychological aspects of resilience and the resource potential of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.Theoretical analysis has shown that the phenomenon of resilience can be interpreted in three dimensions: as an individual capacity to cope with stress, as a process of adaptation to stressful conditions, and as an adaptive-protective mechanism that facilitates personal recovery after psychological trauma. The main advantages of high resilience levels in law enforcement officers include enhanced adaptability, psychological well-being, and professional effectiveness.Scientific research outlines various approaches to identifying factors that contribute to resilience development. The key psychological determinants of this process include goal setting, positive emotional regulation, stress resistance, adequate self-esteem, active coping strategies, self-efficacy, an optimistic worldview, social support, communicative flexibility, as well as religiosity and spirituality.Modern studies emphasize that increasing resilience levels directly correlates with reduced professional stress and helps prevent burnout syndrome. The study of resilience determinants in law enforcement officers is conducted at various levels: individual, family, societal, and organizational.
