MILITARY CONFLICTS AS A FACTOR OF THE WAVE OF MIGRATION IN THE MODERN WORLD

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of military conflicts as a factor in the wave of migration in the modern world. The purpose of the article is to analyze the issue of military conflicts as one of the factors of the wave of migration in the modern world by establishing the relationship between military conflicts and migration in the world community, as well as to highlight the directions of effective management of migration flows. The peculiarities of the military conflict in Ukraine are noted: it is limited to only a certain part of the country and is a long-term conflict provoked by external forces (in particular, Russia) by using various forms of “psychological warfare”. At the same time, despite the difficult security situation, the government of Ukraine ensures control over the security and social situation in other regions of the country. In addition, the Ukrainian authorities are carrying out ambitious reforms, but they face problems, in particular, a high level of corruption. It is concluded that there is a close relationship between military conflicts and migration in the world community. At the same time, the migration flows caused by the war have serious consequences of a geopolitical, economic, social and political nature. In other words, the growth of migration due to military conflicts is a significant challenge for the whole world. The unwillingness of individual states to cope with the flow of migrants can lead to a “migration collapse”. For the effective management of migration flows caused by military conflicts, a comprehensive approach of all states is objectively necessary. In this context, it is important to ensure the safety of migrants with the subsequent promotion of their integration into the new society. At the same time, efforts of a political and diplomatic nature play a significant role in reducing the flow of migrants. In particular, we are talking about international cooperation at various levels, diplomatic negotiations, and the development of peacekeeping missions.
